2024-2027 Workforce Development Plan

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Local Plan – Taking Comments from the Public until May 14, 2024

The Western Wisconsin Workforce Development Board (WDA9) is taking comments from the public for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Local Plan. The Local Plan is a 4-year action plan to develop, align, and integrate workforce development services within the eight-counties in Western Wisconsin.

The plan will help the Workforce Investment Board direct investments in economic, education, and workforce training programs to ensure individuals, including youth and individuals with barriers to employment, have the skills to compete in the job market, and that employers have a ready supply of skilled workers. The draft local plan will be posted for a 30-day public review and comment period (April 15, 2024 - May 14, 2024).
