WISE – Workforce Innovation for a Stronger Economy

7 Rivers Alliance is leading the WISE Project which is a collaborative effort to align economic and workforce development while creating a 10-year regional talent plan. INSPIRE Wisconsin

The Western WDB, in partnership with the 7 Rivers Alliance, WEDC, TUMMA and CESA #4, is supporting the INSPIRE online career planning tool as a pilot for students in Jackson County, with the intention of expanding the use of the tool to other districts in 2018. The INSPIRE platform is designed to help individuals explore careers and build bridges between students, schools, and businesses. Click the INSPIRE quick link to learn more.

WAGE$ - Wisconsin Apprenticeship Growth and Enhancement Strategies

The Western WDB is part of a state-wide effort to increase awareness and utilization of registered apprenticeships to meet workforce training needs. The project intends to register 1,000 new apprentices and upskill 542 incumbent workers across existing occupations in manufacturing and new occupations in healthcare and information technology.
