The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 outlines the composition of the Board of Directors. The law stipulates that the WDB must be business led with seats filled by those business leaders who have decision making authority within their organizations. The businesses must reflect the composition of industries in our area. Other members must come from the public sector and represent education, community based organizations, governmental entitles, labor and apprenticeship and economic development organizations. The Local Elected Officials appoint the board members and ad hoc committee members.
